Irina Macedonski is the great-great-granddaughter of Alexandru Macedonski, the well-known Romanian poet, novelist, dramatist and literary critic. Following in the great writer`s footsteps, she graduated the Faculty of Letters of the University of Bucharest, but later she decided to build a career in marketing and publicity: marketing manager for www.elefant.ro, director of marketing for the Humanitas bookstore network, PR manager for the Joint Theatre, etc.
In 2014, she initiated a series of cultural events, named Macedonskian Nights (Nopti macedonskiene), a tribute to the great writer, marking the 160th anniversary of his birth.
Oana Calugar - "For the last 4 years I worked with and build customer support team for companies and startups from USA and Europe and I was lucky enough to support clients from all over the world, from fascinating fields like mobile applications and online web-hosting services. I've worn many hats in my life -- marketer, sales manager, communicator, head of customer support, mentor, advisor, entrepreneur and mother. As a result, I have a good ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects and I’m passionate to solve complex challenges. In the past year I rediscovered my passion for data driven decisions and my curiosity for analytics and data storytelling; my science mind is often creating experiments to test and validate this data. My mission is to help people understand how beautiful data is and how we can harness data for social good."
